Missing visits

In this article, we explain why visits may be missing or not showing, and what typically causes this issue.

Written by Emma Ianson

Users may report that visits are missing, not visible, or appear to have disappeared for workers or clients. This can happen for several reasons, including care plan changes, visit deletion, or filtering and access settings.

Common symptoms

  • You can’t find visits for workers or clients.

  • Workers or clients appear to be missing visits.

  • Visits disappear after being booked.

  • Not all visits show when a long date range is selected.

Reasons visits may be missing

Care plan changes

  • The care plan was modified after visits were booked.

  • The care plan wasn’t booked or rolled over to a specific date.

  • The care plan was rolled back.

Plan visit issues

  • An incorrect plan visit was created.

  • The plan visit has an incorrect recurrence start date.

  • The plan visit has an incorrect recurrence pattern.

  • The plan visit wasn’t assigned a recurrence pattern.

  • The recurrence pattern or start date was changed.

Plan visits removed

  • Plan visits were removed, either accidentally or intentionally.

  • If a plan visit is deleted, any visits linked to it won’t be generated or booked.

Visits deleted

  • Users with delete permissions may have deleted the visits.

  • Once deleted, visits won’t appear anywhere in the system.

Filter and view settings

Date range and filters

  • The wrong date range is selected in Visit Schedule or Work With Visits.

  • The visit doesn’t match the selected filters in Work With Visits.

  • Show more hasn’t been selected, so some visits remain hidden.

View layout

  • Visits aren’t sorted by start date and time.

  • The view is grouped by another value, such as Exception Type, which can hide visits.

Security and access restrictions

Group restriction

  • The user is limited to a specific group and can’t see visits from other groups.

  • The visit’s group was changed to one the user doesn’t have access to.

Check group access:

To review the group access setting, follow these steps:

  1. Click Settings.

  2. Click Security.

  3. Select Current user.

  4. Right‑click, then click Properties.

  5. Click Select.
