Visit Types and Shift Types define how visits and shifts are booked, allocated, and paid. Visit Types control how individual visits are booked and charged. Shift Types control how shifts group visits and how workers are paid. You must set these up before using them in scheduling, payroll, or invoicing.
Create a new visit type
To create a new visit type, follow these steps:
Click Bookings, then click Visit / Shift Types.
In the Visit Types section, click New.
Enter the Visit Type name.
Click OK.
The new visit type is now available for booking and allocation.
Create a new shift type
To create a new shift type, follow these steps:
Click Bookings, then click Visit / Shift Types.
In the Shift Types section, click New.
Enter the Shift Type name.
Select one or both options if required:
Shift of this type can have visits assigned: Allows visits to be allocated to the shift.
Shift of this type can be paid as a shift: Allows payroll to pay the shift as a single unit.
Click OK.
The new shift type is now available for scheduling and payroll.
