You can pay workers for their full shifts instead of individual visits by setting up shift types and pay rates correctly. This makes sure shifts are included in pay runs and paid at the right rate.
Enable shift types to be paid
To enable shift types to be paid, follow these steps:
Click Bookings, then click Visit/Shift Types.
Choose the required shift type.
Select the Shifts of this type can be paid as a Shift checkbox.
đ Note: Only shift types marked as payable appear in a pay run.
Set up shift pay rates
To set up pay rates for different shift types, follow these steps:
Click Pay, then click Pay Rates.
Choose an existing Rate Set, or rightâclick, then click Add to create a new one.
Choose the Group and Date Set.
Choose between Actual Times or Booked Times to pay by.
Select the Shift Rate checkbox.
Enter the rate details and set the Effective Date.
Select the Applies to specific shift type checkbox if the rate is for one shift type only.
đ Note: Leave this unticked to set a blanket shift rate.
Click Shift Type and choose the relevant option from the drop-down.
Repeat these steps to add additional shift rates if needed.
