Mobile care worker message delays

In this article, we explain how to check and diagnose pending mobile care worker messages and delays.

Written by Emma Ianson

You may notice delays or missing updates between Business Manager and the Mobile Care Worker app. This can affect visit times, rotas, and published schedules.

Common symptoms

You may see one or more of the following:

  • High numbers of pending messages in Mobile Status.

  • Visits aren't publishing to Mobile Care Worker.

  • Delays when publishing changes.

  • Rotas not updating on Mobile Care Worker.

  • Visit times not appearing in Business Manager.

Checks to run

Follow these steps to help identify the cause:

  1. Check if schedules were just published. Recent publishes can take time to sync.

  2. Check if any care plan rollbacks were completed recently.

  3. Monitor pending messages for a short time:

    • If the number is going down, the system is catching up.

    • If it’s going up, make sure no care plans are being published or rolled back.

  4. Contact your internal IT team to check for:

    • Internet outages.

    • Network or service interruptions.
